INYANYA Mbuk of Nigeria has emerged the pioneer winner of the MTN sponsored Project Fame West Africa. Inyanya was declared winner of the ten week long musical reality TV show yesterday at the Ultima Project Fame studio in Lagos, venue of the finals of the show, after defeating the other three finalists to the ultimate prize of the very popular musical television show that has attracted a lot of viewers across the continent.
The reality television musical academy and talent contest which have been on for the past ten weeks was brought to an end on Sunday following the emergence of Cross Rivers state born Nigerian, Inyanya as the winner of the contest, and was presented with 2.5 million Naira, an international recording deal and a brand new Toyota Rav 4 SUV, while the Ghanaian born Nii Anka was declared the first runner up, and was also presented with the sum of N 2 Million and a brand new Toyota Corolla fully loaded car.
Praise Adejo of Nigeria was named the second runner up and went home with N1.5 Million and a Toyota Yaris, while Annette Cookie of Nigeria, being the last girl standing was named the third runner up and went home with 1 million Naira only.
The winner was decided strictly with viewers votes which has in the last one week till 8pm on Saturday been collated, verified and presented by Alexander Forbes Consulting, a leading human resources and employee benefit firm in Nigeria .
The contest which started barely ten weeks ago, 28th of September to be specific, with 15 talented contestants chosen among the final 18 that were short listed from the thousands of entries across West Africa and were made to step into the musical academy and be exposed to the several weeks of training in different areas of musical performances, voice training, showmanship, character and personality building, stage control, dance and choreography, and every other aspect of the business of music, also saw all the eleven evicted contestants of the academy, coming to celebrate the victory of one of their very own.
